Gnome Tower

Some more recent sketchbook. This little scene came to me while I was out walking my dog a few days ago. There is a wooded trail near our home where I can walk him everyday and it gives me a chance to take a good look at the undergrowth and old stumps and fallen logs and general forest litter. Even in the winter with all the leaves off, the random variety and infinite complexity never fail to inspire new ideas.

Nice sketch Larry. Isn't it interesting how a stretch of the legs in the outdoors never fails to charge up the creative batteries?

Philip - Thank-you sir. I couldn't agree more. Every time I'm in the woods I'm amazed at how everything looks. Imagine if you had to make a tree - the bark textures, the branches and twigs, the variety of shapes is staggering.

Raul - as always - thank-you so much :)

Charlene - Thanks.

Thanks Craig - We've got snakes around here but they are pretty much all on the smallish side and are unarmed - actually quite harmless. The bears are another story but you have to go a bit further north to see them - luckily.
