New Painting - Long Bow

Well, I managed to find a bit of time to actually paint this one. I was hoping for slightly better results, but then I'm always hoping for better results. Anyway - watercolour and gouache on cold press paper. More soon.

It's beautiful Larry, those blues are applied so well.
I'm glad you hoped for more though, it would be wrong if you didn't!

I'm sure if I could see the painting first hand, I'd see the bowstring, but not being able to see it in the thumbnail gives the image an eerie twist. Magic Bow has no string. It shoots arrows by magic.

WOL - I was thinking about putting the bowstring in but eventually decided against it. The bow has just been fired and the string is moving, I don't think you would see it anyway, but thanks for noticing. :)

Love this one, Larry, having his mouth hard to see gives his face that extra layer of concentration, love it!
