Hello - with this post I would like to draw your attention to a new online art journal entitled Phases, which is designed and produced by Thomas Haller Buchanan at the Pictorial Arts Journal.  Thomas has decided to kick off his new arts blog by profiling yours truly with a pile of unpublished and unseen sketchbook drawings. There is a lot of beautiful design work here as you can see below, so why not pop over and give it a peek.

Just follow this link

Cheers !

What a great and beautiful way to
express an interview and, especially,
a man of such grand talents.
Enjoyed it thoroughly! I can only hope your wife will be the next child of genius to be in the spotlight.
And it goes with out saying,
and I know it as truth ~
God Bless Finn eternal.

Hi Larry, these are wonderful pages. I really found what you said interesting. When you were talking about practice being from life and reference but the art coming from your mind without reference etc. That struck a chord with me and on thinking about it I really couldn't agree more.

I wish I could create such wonderful drawings straight out of my head like you do here I think then I would feel the real complete creative freedom I am looking for. At the moment I am not there but you have inspired me to practice practice practice!

Great post.

James - your comments are truly appreciated on numerous levels - thanks so much.

Craig - whatever you are doing, in my opinion, it's working. The feeling of joy and spontaneous fun that I get from your work is very real. Of course a little extra practice never hurt anyone. :)

WOW! Awesome linework, tremendous expression and characterization. Personally Larry, I think you are drawing from life...that you have an actual portal that you go through to this wonderful, magical world. How else can you achieve such life in your work??

Thank-you very much Kim. That's very kind of you.
