The Owl Hotel

This is an old watercolour from my ill fated first attempt at mailing art out to kid's book publishers. I just found it in a drawer of old art and decided to re-scan it. I still like it - my first tree house.

More soon.

  1. I don't mean to be a hair splitter, but a motel is a hostelry, or inn, specifically designed and built for people taking trips in their car. Its selling point was that there was a place to park your car -- a "hotel" but with sufficient parking. They were originally units with car ports, but evolved into what we see now. In fact, the word "motel" was coined from motor+hotel. I'd buy "Owl Hotel" but since there are no cars or parking spaces, I don't think you could call it a "motel." Now if it is a hostelry for owls making flying trips, I could make a case for a "Flotel" or a "Flytel."
