Running Rabbit and Fox Radio

A couple of small colour pieces done for fun. These are winter paintings - dreaming of spring with three feet of snow on the ground.

Teeney O'Feeney Sketchbook

Some sketchbook work from a project I'm presently on, illustrating the poem Teeney O'Feeney King of the Leprechauns by James Tague. We're touching on all manner of faerie folk in this piece.

The Secret History of Giants - Sketchbook 6

The last of the sketch work that went into the Giants book. This was one of the most fun projects I've had the pleasure of working on. For me the best part was the pencil work. That was also my favourite part of the Giants and Faeries books we used as inspiration on this venture - fun !

Gnome

Here's another one from the project I'm on at the moment - Teeny O'Feeney King of the Leprechauns. Here we have one of the gnomes who keep the ponds and rivers clean - he's not too happy.

Sprig

Another one of my little weed faerie pictures - done between assignments - Chickadee and Scholastic to be exact.

The Secret History of Giants - Sketchbook - 4

Yet more drawings for this Templar project - character designs and concepts.

Faeries in the Weeds

I like to do these little ones between projects or while waiting for a.d.'s to get back to me. We have a show coming up in November and the more of these little ones I can do the better.

Mountain Troll

I'm presently working on a book project called Teeney O'Feeney King of the Leprechauns. Here are 2 takes on the same character - Olaf the Mountain Troll. The first version of Olaf is for the book and the second version I did for myself - just for fun.

The Secret History of Giants - Sketchbook 2

Some more drawings done for the is book project - lots of experimenting with character, pose and design.

The Secret History of Giants - Sketchbook

I recently had the privilege of working on an excellent book project called The Secret History of Giants. I did a lot of drawing to both prepare for this project and also to contribute spontaneous drawings as illustrations. I accumulated quite a pile of these drawings and can now safely post some of them, being as how the book has been printed and will be out shortly - it's already out in England.
